We provide clear, practical advice to help people put their affairs in order, protect their loved ones and ensure that estates are administered efficiently and in accordance with the law.
Why Choose Us
Guiding individuals, families, Executors and Administrators through every stage of the probate and estate administration process.
Providing clear guidance on often personal and sensitive matters with professionalism, empathy and discretion.
Explaining legal requirements in straightforward language and keeping clients informed throughout the process.
Helping clients put effective plans in place to protect their wishes and minimise future uncertainty.
Access to expertise across property, capacity and estate-related matters where additional legal support is required.
Key Areas of Work
We prepare wills tailored to individual circumstances, taking account of family arrangements, personal wishes and the nature of the assets involved.
A properly prepared will can provide certainty for loved ones, reduce the risk of disputes and help ensure that your wishes are carried out as intended.
Proper will drafting also helps ensure that assets are distributed in line with your intentions and reduces the risk of uncertainty or dispute
Following a death, we assist Executors and Administrators with applications for Grants of Probate or Letters of Administration. These Grants provide the legal authority required to deal with the estate. We guide personal representatives through the process and explain their duties and responsibilities clearly.
Once the appropriate Grant has been issued, we support personal representatives in administering the estate. This may involve collecting in assets, addressing liabilities and ensuring that the estate is finalised in a structured and legally sound manner.
Where estate assets include property, including real property, we assist with the sale process, where required. We work closely with colleagues in the Property Department to ensure that title issues, contracts and conveyancing formalities are handled correctly and efficiently.
Who This Service Is For
We act for individuals who wish to make a will, as well as Executors and Administrators responsible for managing estates after a death. Clients often include families dealing with bereavement and personal representatives who may be unfamiliar with their legal obligations.
Our Approach
We take a careful and considered approach, recognising that clients are often dealing with sensitive issues. Clients deal directly with experienced solicitors who explain legal concepts in plain English and provide clear, measured guidance throughout.
Our focus is on accuracy, compliance with statutory requirements and identifying potential issues early, progressing matters efficiently while maintaining a professional and supportive approach.
